Billionaire investor Mark Cuban says he's relieved to have distanced himself from rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“I'm really glad I didn't go out with him,” Cuban told comedian Theo Fung on the latest episode of his podcast, “This Past Weekend,” which aired on Wednesday.
The “Shark Tank” star added that although he had met and worked with Combs before, he had no interaction with Combs outside of work.
“In fact, in 2003 he contacted me to the Mavs and wanted to design uniforms for us. And I had never met him. We were all electronic. We exchanged emails and he put me in touch with some of his designers.''So they made some uniforms, and it was a cool looking uniform, right? '' Cuban said, referring to the work Diddy's designers have done for his NBA team, the Dallas Mavericks.
“We used this place for a few years, but that was the extent of my connection to Diddy,” he said, adding that Combs' parties were not his “stage.”
Representatives for Mr. Cuban and Combs did not immediately respond to requests for comment outside normal business hours.
Mr. Combs was arrested in Manhattan on September 16th following a grand jury indictment.
