Deadset 2024 – Halloween at Smash Palace. Live music paying homage to fallen music legends of the past with songs from Queen, Foo Fighters, Metallica and more. Best Dressed Award Presentation, 7:30pm, 24 Banks St, Awapuni.

Poverty Bay Horticultural Society Summer Show: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Farmers Air Event Center Showgrounds Park.

Silent Flute Tai Chi: A Movement Lab for a Lifetime. Anyone can take a free 1-hour Tai Chi (Chinese) Tai Chi (Cantonese) class. 1pm to 2pm, Kelvin Park, 10 Stout St, Whataupoko.

Savvy: Gisborne's a cappella group will perform a selection of songs in four-part harmony at 1pm at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 176 Cobden St, corner of Cobden St and Childers Rd. Free tea/coffee available at the door. Free admission. Donations/koha to the performers are very welcome.

CBD Spring Clean: Volunteer cleaning of the CBD from 3pm to 5pm. Come to 111 Gladstone Rd and help make your city beautiful again.

Walk for Alzheimer's: 8am-2pm, Young Nick's Head/Te Kuria Paoa. Join us on this guided walk to raise money for your local Alzheimer's support group.

Sunday, November 10th

Zizzy Laser Half Marathon: Matawero Wines, 189 Riverpoint Rd, Matawero. Join the Gisborne Harrier Club for a 5km or 10km run or walk. Finishing at Matawero Winery.

Sea Shed Tour: Over 30 artists open their studios at multiple venues in Wainui, Okitu and Makorori for a day of arts and craft sales, food and entertainment. From 9am to 4pm.

Monthly Dance of the Gisborne Caledonian Society. A Christmas potluck dinner and dance will be held Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Holy Trinity Hall, Derby Street. Please bring your own plate. $5. Visitors are welcome. For inquiries please call 0210497148.
