New Mexico's sprawling cannabis market has become home to some of the country's finest medical and recreational marijuana since it was legalized in 2021. “Not here” Fiesta fans in the state love to get in a frenzy, but they're not taking any leftovers home: It's still illegal to bring it in at airports or across state borders.
Prohibition 37, which has eight locations across New Mexico, offers a variety of discounts and specials every day. Other Fiesta favorites include Leaf & Flower (four locations across the city) and Tafoya Farms (Cottonwood Mall area and 4th Avenue), both of which offer specials for out-of-town visitors during Fiesta.
Things to know before you go
While it may be legal to purchase cannabis for recreational purposes, there are still rules regarding consumption for locals and tourists (tip: never consume in a hotel room or in public).
If you're interested in cannabis during your trip, the dispensary's cannabis salespeople will be experts and can advise you on safe dosages and the best strains to use for pain relief or relaxation.
