A Pretoria CBD-based painter has created a beautiful portrait of a fellow artist who inspired his love of art in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This painting was painted as a sign of brotherhood and support for artists.
Shadrack Niwane (32), known as Shadiheartist, has painted a portrait of Bongani Goodman Mabimbela (35), known in the entertainment and fashion worlds as “da style guru''.
The artist is originally from Mpumalanga and Kwa Ndebele in Nelspruit, but lives in the Pretoria CBD.
Speaking to Shaddytheartist, he said that he decided to paint the portrait of the Bongani Da Style guru because he was inspired by his life journey.
He said “Da Style Guru'' lost its clothing business and customers due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Da Style Guru was also the stylist of the famous DJ Zinhle, but he admitted that he lost everything and even went into depression due to the lockdown,” said Shadiheartist.
But everything changed in 2022 when he found a job at the health department and rose to fame once again.
Today, Da Style Guru is a dynamic and passionate business entrepreneur with a multifaceted career in MC, fashion styling, interior design, and event management.
Despite facing challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the temporary closure of his clothing store in Pretoria, he has reinvented his brand, maintaining its vibrant personality and unique My fashion sense has become recognized.

Speaking to Da Style Guru, he said he was also inspired when Shady Heartist first said, “I wanted to paint a portrait of me for the story of my life.”
“I was inspired because it shows that he supports and follows local artists,” he said.
“We have the same experience of depression, but we never gave up on life.
“This should be a message to all upcoming artists and young entrepreneurs to never give up on life. Even if you fall down, surround yourself with people with the right heart and get back up and start from scratch.” You should,” Da Style Guru said.
“Shadihartist also started from the bottom, cutting people's hair in taverns in Mpumalanga. Thanks to his great artistic skills, people started following him too.
He eventually purchased two cabins and combined them into a barbershop and art gallery.
Shady Heartist saved enough to buy a house, which she now uses as both a studio and a hair salon, and uses her car to deliver her paintings. ”
“We no longer compete, but collaborate,” he said.
