UPDATE: According to a DOR release, investigators with the Mississippi Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, with assistance from the Oxford Police Department, Lafayette County Metro Drug Task Force and the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, executed multiple warrants in Lafayette County resulting from an investigation into violations of Mississippi's Medical Marijuana Act. One suspect is in custody and charges are pending.

State and local law enforcement raided a CBD store and a medical marijuana dispensary in Oxford Monday morning.
The store owner, Tony Barragan, left the scene with police.
Investigators from the Mississippi Department of Taxation and Alcoholic Beverage Control and officers from the Oxford Police Department arrived at Hybrid Rescue Medical Dispensary and Hybrid CBD around 11:30 a.m.
The two businesses are located in adjacent shopping centers off West Jackson Avenue.
Police searched Barragan's vehicle while others were inside the store.
At the time of writing, it was unclear what investigators and police were looking for or why Barragan was detained.
Oxford Police Chief Jeff McCutchen said more information would likely be released following an investigation. Calls to ABC had not been returned as of Monday afternoon.
