Pro Solutions Inc. has been in business in Green Bay for over 50 years. We work with brands like Procter & Gamble and Nature's Way. We provide employment opportunities to people with disabilities. We work with Curative Connections to provide job training.
In honor of Wisconsin Manufacturing Month, NBC 26 partnered with the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce to spotlight local businesses making a difference. We conclude this series with Pro Solutions Inc., a Green Bay-based manufacturer that connects business with a deeper purpose.
For more than 50 years, Pro Solutions Inc. has quietly operated as a major manufacturing partner for well-known brands such as P&G and Nature's Way. But the company has more than just products and production lines.
Team leader Sheri Salas describes the company's characteristics as follows:
“I love the people I work with. I love what we stand for and what we do.”
Pro Solutions is unique in that it creates opportunities for people with disabilities to work on production lines. This is a rare sight in most factories.
“In most places, you don't see people with special needs working on the line,” Sheri explains.
Pro Solutions collaborates with Curative Connections to break down barriers to employment. The company's profits are reinvested into job training and essential skills programs to help people with disabilities and other challenges thrive in the workforce.
Chris Steier, vice president of ProSolutions, explains their role in the supply chain:
“They send us all the parts and parts, and we assemble the display and the exterior of the customer unit and send it back to them or directly back to the customer.”
Beyond building products, the company's mission is to support personal growth and community success.
“That's a goal for them,” Sheri says. “They want to exercise in the community and be part of everyone else.”
Each year, Pro Solutions helps approximately 12 individuals transition from training to work, either within our company or elsewhere in our community. For Steier, these accomplishments reflect the company's mission.
“We really want them to come work for us, but if they can get other jobs in the region, that’s a win for us. We have helped them take the next step in their lives.”
At Pro Solutions, manufacturing is about people, not just products. Demonstrate how profit and purpose can create lasting impact.
“My job is to keep Pro Solutions alive so we can continue to see smiles every day,” Steyer adds.
