Melbourne Fashion Week (M/FW) runs from October 21 to 27 and celebrates its 30th anniversary, highlighting Melbourne's vibrant fashion community.
This year's theme, 'You're Invited', celebrates the characteristics of individuality, community and self-expression that define Melbourne's fashion world.
Internationally acclaimed Melbourne-born artist G Fripp has been appointed as the 2024 Ambassador, adding to the excitement by rounding out the festivities with a performance at Melbourne City Hall as part of the closing showcase.

Fashion lovers can look forward to the return of popular autumn/winter venues with seven premium runway shows, including Queen Victoria Market, Little Bourke Street, THE LUME Melbourne, Melbourne City Hall and Melbourne Museum.
The program will also feature over 300 designers and retailers, with over 100 events and sessions scheduled throughout the week.
“What started as just four runways in 1995 has evolved into a can't-miss fashion week and a staple on the event calendars of fashion lovers around the world,” said Mayor Nick Rees. .
“More than 100,000 people are expected to attend this year's milestone Melbourne Fashion Week, which will drive the local economy with a focus from runway to retail.”
This year's lineup of featured designers at Melbourne Fashion Week includes Aje, ALPHA60, Bec + Bridge, Clothing the Gaps, Erik Yvon, Grace Lillian Lee, INJURY, J'Aton, MAARA Collective, Mariam Seddiq, nevenka, Ngali, Oroton, Includes Rebecca Vallance, Reiner and more.
In addition to showcasing established brands, the Autumn/Winter 2024 program will also spotlight up-and-coming independent designers, focusing on sustainability, inclusivity and Aboriginal culture, along with other diverse influences in the Australian fashion scene. and the ongoing celebration of Torres Strait Islander culture.
