Teen arrested for $7,000 CBD store robbery
Peachtree City Police arrested several teenage high school students after they allegedly broke into a CBD store and stole more than $7,000 worth of merchandise.
Peachtree City, Ga. – Peachtree City Police have arrested a group of high school students involved in a robbery in which $7,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from a local CBD store.
The robbery occurred late at night, and surveillance footage showed the group throwing large stones and destroying the store's front door. One of the suspects slipped on broken glass while fleeing.
Police were able to identify the teens by linking them to the stolen golf cart, one of several stolen in the same area near the apartment complex.
Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested. The alleged ringleader, a 15-year-old boy, has been charged with multiple felonies, including second-degree robbery, theft from a motor vehicle, criminal damage and identity fraud. A 16-year-old boy faces similar charges, except for identity fraud.
Additionally, the teens' neighbors, 18-year-old Thomas Mayfield Jr. and 28-year-old Jaquan Green, were also charged with second-degree theft. Police recovered important evidence during a search of the suspect's apartment.
Interestingly, both boys have already pleaded guilty.
