On Monday, the Mississippi Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Oxford Police Department and Lafayette County Sheriff's Department searched Hybrid CBD on Jackson Avenue for possible violations of Mississippi's medical marijuana law.
Investigators were at the scene for several hours and were also seen at the pharmacy owned by the same owner and the owner's home.
The Internal Revenue Service, ABC's parent organization, released a statement Monday night.
On Monday, September 23, 2024, investigators with the Mississippi Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement, with assistance from the Oxford Police Department, Lafayette County Metro Drug Task Force and the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, executed multiple warrants in Lafayette County resulting from an investigation into violations of the Mississippi Medical Marijuana Act. One suspect is in custody and charges are pending. As this is an ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time.
