Local and state officials join Lifted Dispensary owners and employees for ribbon cutting on new cannabis business in Jamestown (September 30, 2024)
Local and state officials helped cut the ribbon on a new marijuana dispensary in Jamestown Monday afternoon.
The renovated pharmacy opened at 320 North Main Street in late August.
Tim Scoma, chief operating officer of Patient's Pharmacy, said the business was approved for an adult-use retail dispensary license by the state Cannabis Control Board in July.
Patient's Pharmacy is owned by Diane Mathews and is the pharmacy's parent company.
Skoma said the past month has been exciting. We know what's selling and what's not. Get references and ideas from the community, whether it's for a specific product or more specific to a product or brand vendor. We plan to expand and add more products, new things, and remove some things that aren't working. It was a lot of fun and a fun learning experience as well. ”
State Sen. George Borrello said Lifted's story goes back three years. I'm really proud that this happened. As you know, we've had some disagreements about how things have been done in New York State so far, but we're happy that it's safe, tested, legal, and run by local businessmen. Real local investors, not people who moved to Jamestown from Buffalo or New York City. ”
Lifted Pharmacy has four employees.
