If you happen to be near the Cape Town City Bowl this Saturday (October 26) and next week (November 2-3), don't worry if you hear gunshots. They are filming an episode of an American docudrama called “. Mother City of “Outlaws and Gunmen.''
The episode they are filming in Cape Town is about notorious bank robber John Dillinger.
Filming locations for the film include the FNB Building on Adderley Street, Mutual Heights on Darling Street, and the area around the Western Cape High Court.
District 115 Councilor Ian McMahon posted about the issue on his Facebook page to raise awareness.
The film shoot, which will take place over the next two weekends, will include road closures and simulated gunfire, including machine gun and individual gunshots and noise.
Scenes include John Dillinger robbing several CBD banks, featuring gunfire inside the building and gunfire as he exits the “bank.”
This includes Tommy Gun machine gun fire and occasional fire.
