Doncaster East Neighborhood Police Team said an Audi A5 which had been reported stolen from an address in Goole was found in Thorne today (Tuesday 24th September). Officers say that through “good cross-border working” and co-ordination with colleagues in Humberside, they were able to locate the vehicle and recover it for forensic examination.
The Neighbourhood Team said officers from South Yorkshire and neighbouring police districts were investigating a rise in “Hanoi burglaries”, in which thieves break into homes, steal car keys and make off in the car.

Doncaster East Neighborhood Police Team was working with South Yorkshire Police's Off Road Bike Team “to address an ongoing issue with off road motorcyclists accessing local parks”.
A neighbourhood team spokesman said: “Using specialist motorbikes, drone officers and the local knowledge of our neighbourhood teams, we patrolled areas including Dunscroft, Stainforth and Armthorpe.”

“It didn’t take long for the off-road motorbike to be spotted on Unity Way, near junction 5 of the M18, a frequent issue area where motorbikes use the road to access the pit top area.
“We used a drone to document the bike and take images for identification.”
Police say off-road biking remains a “regular issue” in east Doncaster and the issue is frequently raised at community engagement meetings.
Anyone with information about off-road motorcycling can report it anonymously online, by calling 101 or via CrimeStoppers.
