Rail passengers passing through London Charing Cross face delays due to signal failure.
Customers in the southeast should prepare for longer-than-usual journeys after a failure in the signaling system caused chaos for several hours.
All South East routes to and from London Charing Cross station will be affected. The disruption is also not expected to be resolved quickly, and normal service may not resume until 8 p.m.
Elsewhere, the M1 was closed after a crash involving four vehicles during the lunch hour. The highway has since reopened and all drivers were uninjured.

South East trains disrupted due to signal failure at Charing Cross
Monday night's commute did not go as planned for passengers across the Southeast.
A failure in a signaling system (basically a railway signal) can lead to train cancellations, delays of up to 30 minutes, or changes to service.
“There has been a failure in the signaling system at London Charing Cross station, with faulty trains, making some platforms inaccessible,'' the Railways said in a statement.
“Response staff are on their way.”
The chaos could continue until 8 p.m.
Hastings and Maidstone East line trains are being diverted to and from London Cannon Street.
Passengers can use their tickets for free on the London Underground between Cannon Street and Charing Cross/Embankment.

Two vehicles collide on the A21
The A21 has been closed in both directions following a crash involving two cars in East Sussex.
The road is closed between the A2100 Johns Cross and the A28 near Bolslow due to the accident.
Transport service Inclix said emergency services were at the scene, along with an air ambulance.

Southern and Thameslink train delays
Passengers traveling on some Southern and Thameslink routes should prepare for delays.
Trains will have to move slower than usual due to safety checks on the line between Horsham and Crawley.
Here are the routes affected.
South between Portsmouth Harbor / Portsmouth and Southsea / Bognor Regis and London Victoria Thameslink Between Horsham and Peterborough
Trains may be delayed by up to 10 minutes, but no suspensions have been announced.

Latest information from the national highway after the M1 accident
All lanes are now open after the accident, which involved four vehicles.
However, the coast is still not open to motorists queuing to pass the accident site and there are still delays of 60 minutes, National Highways said.
“If you're traveling in the area, please allow plenty of time as there are still delays of 60 minutes and approximately 20 additional minutes. 5 miles of traffic.” Ta.
Fortunately, all drivers involved in the collision were uninjured.
Leicestershire Police confirmed there were no injuries in the four-vehicle crash, which was first reported at around 1.22pm.

Three lanes reopen after crash on M1
Three of the four lanes of the southbound M1 have reopened following the crash at Junction 21, near Leicester.
Four lanes remain closed for restoration and debris removal work.
There are currently 45-minute delays and three-mile traffic jams in the area.

London Overground trains are back in service after broken down train is moved
All lines between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside have reopened after a broken train at Crouch Hill was removed.

There are no trains between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside
A broken train at Crouch Hill is disrupting London Overground services between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside.
JNR expects the disruption, including suspensions and revisions, to continue until 3:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, in London, there are some delays on the Piccadilly line between Cockfosters and Acton Town while TfL deals with a customer incident on Holloway Road.
The remaining underground networks provide good service.

The rift between King's Lynn and Ely has been resolved.
The radio interference that occurred around 7:00 a.m. today has been resolved, and normal communications are now possible.
It was initially thought the disruption would last until 4pm, but conditions have now returned to normal, which is good news for anyone planning to travel to the area.

The previous signal failure has been fixed and all routes through Glasgow Central have reopened.
However, the National Railways has warned that even if service is restored, trains may be canceled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Both lanes of the M4 eastbound have reopened between Junction 2 for Brentford and Junction 1 for Chiswick following this morning's crash.
There are still delays in access, but all traffic trapped within the road closure was quickly cleared.

A failure in the signaling system at Glasgow Central Station caused some lines to be cut off, causing disruption to ScotRail services.

Northern services are back to normal after disruption caused by missing staff
As we previously reported, trains between Manchester Victoria and Chester were suspended due to the absence of one of the train's crew members.
The situation was resolved sooner than expected and train services in the north returned to normal.

Network Rail's latest statement on Wakefield rail suspension
A Network Rail spokesperson said: “We regret that services between Kings Cross and Leeds have been disrupted today due to issues with Northern Powergrid between Doncaster and Wakefield.”
“Our teams have closed all lines in the area and are working with Northern Powergrid to reopen them as soon as possible.
“As fewer services will be able to operate between Leeds and King’s Cross, journey times may be longer and alternative rail services may be involved, we are appealing to all passengers to confirm their itinerary through National Rail inquiries before traveling. Masu.”

Man dies 'after falling', A27 reopens
Sussex Police confirmed the A27 had reopened in both directions after being closed for most of the morning.
A road closure near Shoreham has been lifted after a man died on the road “after falling”.
A spokesperson for the force has now confirmed that the victim is a 28-year-old man from the Brighton area who fell from the Mill Hill Road bridge.
Police do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances in the death.

2 hours delayed after M4 crash
The M4 is currently closed eastbound towards London between junctions 2 and 1 following a crash.
Police were on the scene and motorists were facing delays of more than two hours.
Signs for detour routes have not yet been installed, and motorists are detouring from local routes on national highways.
