Employee Relations Executive Leadership in Complex Employee and Labor Relations Projects Defending Complex Litigation in Labor Courts
The Secretary of Public Employment is the statutory employer of all employees in the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS). The Office of Public Employment Policy (OCPE) monitors the employment environment to develop an innovative and sustainable modern NTPS employment framework. The Employee Relations Division is the primary source of advice to the Secretary on employee and employee relations issues throughout the NTPS.
As a Senior Director of Employee Relations, your primary objective will be to lead and manage a team of employee relations professionals to improve employee, workforce and labor relations, including developing strategies for business-to-business negotiations and complex labor disputes. to provide strategic advice on a wide range of issues. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of private sector industrial relations matters within the territory's jurisdiction, the Long Service Leave Act 1981 and the Holidays Act 1981.
On behalf of the Secretary of Public Employment, provide strategic and operational advice on employee, industrial relations and workforce issues affecting the NTPS, maintain senior level strategic alliances and communicate with key stakeholders. Please cooperate with us.
Meeting the challenges of this strategic role requires a proven track record of proactive executive leadership in large multi-stakeholder environments and experience in complex policy, employee and labor relations. Research expertise, analytical and conceptual thinking, strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, political acumen and cultural competency are essential.
