In summary, as we said this morning, there will be a shortage of train crews on the Thameslink network tonight, so trains may be canceled or rescheduled.
Lines between Bedford in central London and Three Bridges or Brighton will be most affected in both directions.
Services via Luton, St Pancras and Gatwick airports will also be affected.
The disruption is expected to last from 10.30pm tonight until 4am on Friday.
Southern services are unaffected, but if you are traveling and need to take a connecting train, you should check your itinerary before departing.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: “As alternative public transport routes are very limited at night, Thameslink has requested a number of replacement buses, which are currently being confirmed by the supplier. ” he said.
'As soon as supplies are available they will be advertised on nationalrail.co.uk.
“Compared to normally operating trains, it still provides limited capacity.
“We recommend checking your travel planner and traveling during times when it says trains are running.
“If you must travel by bus, expect to allow at least 45 to 60 minutes of travel time.”
