A group of homeowners in Stamford, Conn., is trying to overturn the state's cannabis program through a zoning lawsuit. A fourth California testing laboratory has had its license revoked amid an ongoing investigation into THC potency inflation and other operational issues. Speaking of California, emergency marijuana ban regulations have been officially announced.

Minnesota's Indian business owners may soon expand beyond tribal lands to other markets in the state. Employees at Still River Wellness in Torrington, Conn., were among the last in the industry to form a union. Meanwhile, employees at Honey Sour Pharmacy in Butte, Montana, did the same. Tilray plans to launch a THC drink in the U.S. next month. The raid in the capital marks the closure of the fifth illegal pharmacy in recent weeks. The Vermont Cannabis Control Commission has decided to temporarily suspend new retail license applications starting next month.
Thursday, September 26th
A new report calls for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to play a more prominent role in cannabis-focused policy. New York City Sheriff Anthony Miranda and his staff are accused of taking cash from closed stores as part of a crackdown on allegations of wrongdoing within Mayor Eric Adams' administration. Kentucky has awarded its first medical marijuana program license to cannabis testing company KCA Labs. A documentary is in the works detailing the rise and fall of Medmen. Canadian cannabis sales continue to be strong, with sales in July reaching US$326.7 million, the highest amount so far in 2024.
